Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

The pace of life for many is fast and furious and summer (or any) vacations are few and far between. We find ourselves churning through the daily grind with a certain familiarity and often fail to find time for ourselves.

Even if it’s just for the day, being able to find time to relax and enjoy life is an excellent stress reliever. Maybe the budget is tight or maybe you don’t have time for a vacation that takes you far away. Perhaps you can’t find someone to watch the kids and/or can’t take them with you. Whatever the reason, there is beautiful tranquility for you and your family to enjoy in the great outdoors. And no reason not to do so.

We have amazing parks in Fairfield and Vacaville that are filled with nature (here are some great nature quotes), activities and an abundance of things to do that will clear your mind and produce amazing memories in the process.

Here are a few of our favorite local Fairfield parks that we recommend:

Allan Witt Community Park: This park is full of opportunity for sports lovers. With baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball, horseshoe pits, several fields, a skatepark, an aquatic complex and even two playgrounds for the little ones that might not be as sports oriented.

Gary Falati Neighborhood Park: This park is great for families on hot days with a splash play area, picnic area including gazebo, toddler and youth playgrounds as well as walking paths. If you live in Madison this park is in your backyard!

Laurel Creek Community Park: This park is great for explorers with walking paths, trails from Paradise Valley Golf Courses to Suisun City Marsh, wildlife habitats and creeks.

We hope this glimpse into local parks has moved you to get out and enjoy the great outdoors!
