The 4th of July is a time to feel patriotic so we wanted to share the best places around to enjoy the fireworks and the good times with friends and family! Before we get into our favorite places though, we wanted to share a bit of 4th of July knowledge we found on The History Channel:
Bet You Didn’t Know: Independence Day
Be the hit of your gathering sharing these fun facts before the fireworks start! Speaking of hits, here are a few local spots to enjoy your 4th that are sure to please.
If you love live music and family entertainment (a Ferris Wheel, rock wall and a giant slide) on the waterfront with tons of vendors…the Suisun City Independence Day Spectacular fireworks display can’t be missed!
Maybe you the feel of an old fashioned celebration in a historic district is more your style? If so, make plans to visit Andrew’s Park in Historic Downtown Vacaville. Later in the evening, the Creekwalk Concert Series features the Time Bandits for a $2 admission (ages 13+) if you want to really enjoy the festivities.
If you want to venture out a bit, here’s a list of great Bay Area 4th of July Events. Not impressed? Maybe the “Largest Free Jazz Festival on the West Coast” is enough to grab your attention! If you love tradition and great music, the Fillmore Jazz Festival will be an event you attend for years.
We hope this post has helped you in finding the perfect event to celebrate and wish you a safe and exciting 4th!
